Train of Thought: My heart burns...

Spotted on the R Train this month:

My heart burns in flames of sorrow
Sparks and smoke rise turning to the sky

Within me, the heart has taken fire like candle
My body, whirling, is a lighthouse illuminated by your image

I just saw this poem on the WTC-bound E train abd was taken in so deeply by it that I stayed on the train after it emptied so I could copy it down...there are moments in this life that, although fleeting, remind us what a wonder it is to be alive. I am grateful for stumbling across this gem this morning...

Saw this on #1 train. It blew me away. I almost took a photo of it with my iPhone, but I was worried the woman standing underneath would think I was some creep taking her photo instead.

I saw this the other day and was also very moved. Thank you for posting, was trying to find it for a few days now.

Saw it too. Took a pic but it was blurry and didn't have the poet's name. Looked it up and here we all are...
Thanks for posting.

When I saw this poem on the subway train it blew my mind! It's so beautiful and I really identify with it!
