Fortieth Birthday Post #31: NPR Podcast

So everything seems to remind me of aging today. I wonder why.

Last year I posted about all of the podcasts I subscribe to (to which I subscribe?)

This morning's offering from NPR's "Story of the Day" podcast is titled "Older Recruits Seek to Prove Their Fighting Form". The military last year extended the enlistment age maximum from 35 to 42. So I get to hear how a bunch of 40-year olds are faring among recruits -gulp- over half their age.

Don't worry, folks. The thought of basic training doesn't appeal to me.
