New York Sports Club is opening a location on 86th Street in our neighborhood.

Last month, union members were picketing the site, as the NYSC was apparently using non-union labor to finish construction.

Many of the picketers, I recall, held up signs accusing NYSC of exploiting its workers.

Several days later, I walked by the site and noticed that the non-union labor had responded:


Whether they are exploited, however, still remains to be seen.
