Colony Collapse Disorder

There's been a lot of buzz since the beginning of the year about the problem beekeepers are having with a mysterious "colony collapse disorder" that is decimating bee hives in certain segments of the United States. The August 6 issue of The New Yorker has a good article by staff writer Elizabeth Kolbert here.

Also read an interesting fiction piece here by Daniil Kharms, a Russian writer who died during the Siege of Leningrad. It's short and worth a peek.
