Alligators Under New York!!!!

You've heard the stories, but I now have proof! There are alligators under New York City. I surreptitiously snapped this picture this morning on the N train, Northbound between the Canal Street and Union Square Stations.

Like all such spottings, the photo is a little blurry. I didn't want to attract attention by using the flash, and risk startling other riders, as well as the alligator. See for yourself:


Just beyond the gentleman reading the Chinese language newspaper, a modern-day Crocodile Dundee is casually subduing a small alligator. Look closer:


Look at those sharp, uh, blurry teeth!

Even in New York City, this is something we do not often see on the subway.

Sure, easy for you to say! What do you know about alligators? You live in Florida!
